AM ka Full Form Anti Meridiem and PM ka Full Form Post Meridium hai. Anti Meridiem(AM) and Post Meridium(PM) दोनों  Latin words हैं.

जिसका use respectively before noon and afternoon 12-hour clock system में किया जाता है.

उन्हें A.M. and P.M. के रूप में भी represent गया है.

PM  expand as Post Meridiem जिसका meaning “after midday” and AM expand as Anti Meridiem जिसका meaning “before midday” है.

उनका use day and night में 12-hour time zone में differentiate करने के लिए किया जाता है. 

वे 24 hours of the day को two time zone में divide करते हैं, जिनमें से each में 12 hours होते हैं.

First 12-hour की duration, midnight to noon (12 AM to 12 PM) तक चलती है and इसे AM से designate किया जाता है.

Second 12 hour duration noon to midnight (12 PM to 12 AM) तक चलती है and PM से designate होती है. 

That’s why, 12 hours clock system के all 24 hours की identify करने के लिए 1 to 12 तक की number के बाद AM or PM का use किया जाता है.

Examples of AM and PM:

अगर आप कहेंगे कि आप 6 O’clock आएंगे then यह confusion हो सकता है कि यह morning 6 O’clock है or evening 6 O’clock है. 

इस प्रकार, इस confusion को दूर करने के लिए, 12-hour clock system में am and pm का use किया जाता है.

So, 6 AM को early in the morning and 6 PM को  late in the afternoon कहा जाता है.

यह midnight to noon तक के time का represent करता है i.e. 12:00 Am to  11:59 pm.

Example:

यदि आप कहते हैं आपको 10 AM school जाना है, तो इसका meaning है 10 O’clock morning कह रहे हैं.

Details about PM:

यह noon से just before midnight का time represent करता है i.e.12 Pm to 11:59 PM.

Example:

12 a.m. and 12 p.m. अक्सर confusion का reason होता है कि वे technically correct नहीं हैं.

यह advise दी जाती है कि noon 12 के बजाय 12pm and midnight 12 बजाय 12 am का use करें. 

Confusion से बचने के लिए, airlines and insurance companies एक event की beginning को mark करने के लिए 12:01 am का use करती हैं जो day के साथ start होता है and 11:59 pm एक event के end को mark करता है जो एक day के साथ end होता है.
