PNG Stands For Portable Network Graphics
PNG ka Full Form, Portable Network Graphics है. यह GIF को replace के लिए एक open format के रूप में create किया गया था, क्योंकि GIF के लिए patent एक company के पास था और कोई और license fees नहीं pay करना चाहता था.
यह better compression and a full range of color के लिए भी allow करता है.
यह computer पर bit-mapped(raster) images को store करने के लिए एक format है. इसे GIF format images के successor के रूप में भी जाना जाता है.
Without Copyright issues, यह GIF file जैसी images को save करने के लिए less compression technique का use करता है.
इसमें indexed color का एक bitmap होता है इसलिए इसे bit-mapped images भी कहा जाता है.
इसका use almost completely web images के लिए किया जाता है, कभी भी images print के लिए नहीं किया जाता.
Photographs के लिए, PNG JPEG जितना अच्छा नहीं है, क्योंकि यह एक larger file create करता है.
लेकिन some text, or line art वाली images के लिए, यह best है, क्योंकि images less “Bitmappy” दिखती हैं.
History Of PNG:
Portable Network Graphics Format को early 1995 में develop किया गया था.
GIF में only 256 Color हैं और GIF की यह limitation PNG की introduction का result है और इसके develop के पीछे main reason भी है. PNG में एक file extension “.Png” है.
Advantages Of PNG:
PNG का advantage यह है कि यह low resolution images provide करता है जो good looking हैं और quickly load होते हैं.
