ICU ka Full Form Kya Hai?

ICU Full Form Intensive Care Unit hai. यह एक special department of hospital है जो एक serious injury or illness से suffering patients को intensive care medicines and life support provide करता है. 

Intensive care units most severe and life-threatening injuries or illness monitoring करती हैं जिन्हें specialized doctors and nurses की एक team द्वारा constant and close monitoring की requirement होती है.

यह team critically ill or severely injured patients की care लेने के लिए trained है. Requirement होने पर patients directly emergence department से ICU में transferred किया जा सकता है.

If patient की condition constantly deteriorates होती है, यह generally किया जाता है. 

एक ICU में various medical equipment’s होते है, जिनमें से कुछ इस प्रकार हैं:

• Defibrillator
• Mechanical Ventilators
• Feeding Tubes, Suction tubes
• Infusion Pump
• Anesthesia Machine
• Dialysis Machine
• Patient Monitor
• External Pacemakers
• Syringe Pump
• Blood Warmer
• ECG(Electrocardiogram)

Injuries and illness जिन्हें ICU में Special treatment की require होती है:

• Coma में होने वाले Patients. 
• After a Major Surgery
• Severe heart problems जैसे heart attack, extreme low blood pressure.
• Accidental Cases में जिन्हें major surgery and immediate action कीrequirement होती है.
• Liver Problems and Kidney failure cases में dialysis की requirement होती है.
• Asthma or complicated pneumonia के कारण respiratory system में problem.

ICUs में own staffs भी होते हैं like respiratory therapists, pharmacists, physical therapist, and anesthesia specialist, etc.

उन babies के लिए एक special ICU है जो prematurely born or born with serious illness होते है. इसे (NICU) neonatal intensive care unit कहा जाता है.

ICU को intensive Therapy Unit or Intensive Treatment Unit or  Critical Care Unit (CCU) के रूप में भी जाना जाता है. ICU के first practitioner Peter Safar थे.
