LIC ka फुल फॉर्म Life Insurance Corporation of India hai. यह India में एक Public Limited company है जो mainly life insurance products and investment plans से related है. इसका motto “Yogakshemam Vahamyaham” है जिसका meaning है “Your welfare is our responsibility”.
इसकी establish 1956 में हुई जब Parliament of India ने Life Insurance of India Act pass किया. इस act ने state-owned Life Insurance Corporation बनाने के लिए around 245 private insurance companies and provident societies का merge and nationalize कर दिया.
आज, LIC India की largest life insurance company है. इसका headquarters Mumbai, India में है. इसके 8 zonal offices, 113 divisional offices, and more than 2000 branches हैं.
इसके पास country में अपने insurance business को promote देने के लिए more than 14 lakh LIC agents भी हैं.
Award and Achievement of LIC:
2012 के Economic Times Brand Equity survey के अनुसार, LIC India के most trusted service brand की list में 6th position पर था.
इसने MEIF institutional Excellence Award 2012, Golden Peacock Innovative Product / Services Award 2011 जैसे various Award जीते हैं.
